Nicolas Gaume

Nicolas Gaume (b.1995, Paris) is a French artist. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the French Academy of Fine Arts and currently works and lives in Paris. Similar to George Morandi, Nicolas's creative vocabulary is refined and rich. In the canvas, he repeatedly wandering at experienced scenery and gazing faces, patiently sorting out the patterns of memory, allowing them to evolve slowly and layer by layer. This minimalist music enthusiast understands the true meaning of uniqueness and secrecy hidden in every interpretation. He knows that only by repeating the theme to the realm of conventions, until it transformed into almost abstract symbols, could the melody of painting be given its rightful place through variations, scales, and subtle strokes.
